How to Find Your EKEDC Meter Number

Your EKEDC meter number is located on the front of your prepaid meter. It's usually an 11 or 13-digit number. You can also find it on:

  • Your last electricity payment receipt
  • Your EKEDC bill statement (for postpaid customers)
  • The meter installation documentation

How to Check EKEDC Prepaid Meter Balance

To check your remaining electricity units on an EKEDC prepaid meter, press 65 on your meter keypad. The screen will display your remaining kilowatt-hours (kWh). Different meter brands may have different key combinations — check your meter manual if 65 doesn't work.

EKEDC Tariff Rates

EKEDC charges different tariffs based on your band classification:

  • Band A — Customers with 20+ hours daily supply (higher tariff per kWh)
  • Band B-E — Customers with fewer supply hours (lower tariff per kWh)

Many areas in Victoria Island, Ikoyi, and Lekki fall under Band A. Your tariff band affects how many units you receive for the amount you pay.
